Botsurance expands to Ghana after insuring over 100,000 vehicles in Nigeria

Botsurance, Nigeria’s leading digital vehicle insurance platform, has officially launched operations in Ghana. This expansion follows a successful year in Nigeria, where the company insured over 100,000 vehicles and generated $3,000,000 in transaction.

Founded in September 2020, Botsurance utilizes chatbot technology to simplify the process of purchasing authentic vehicle insurance. In Nigeria, the platform has streamlined insurance acquisition, allowing drivers to secure coverage in under two minutes without the need for paperwork or intermediaries.

“Our mission has always been to make genuine vehicle insurance accessible and hassle-free,” said Samuel Adekanmbi, CEO of Botsurance. “Expanding into Ghana is a natural progression, and we’re excited to offer our services to Ghanaian drivers.”

Addressing Challenges in Ghana’s Insurance Sector

Ghana faces similar challenges to Nigeria, with a significant number of vehicles operating without valid insurance. Botsurance aims to address this by offering:

  • Instant Third-Party Vehicle Insurance
  • Bundled Licensing and Roadworthiness Services
  • Home or Office Document Delivery
  • Chatbot Access via WhatsApp and Messenger

By providing transparent pricing and eliminating middlemen, Botsurance seeks to build trust and increase insurance penetration in Ghana.

Strategic Partnerships and Local Presence

Botsurance Ghana will operate from Accra and collaborate with local regulators, licensed insurers, and transport authorities. The company is currently recruiting distribution agents and customer service representatives to support its operations.

“We’re committed to empowering drivers with the right coverage and tools, whether in Lagos or Accra,” added Oladoyin Anjorin, COO of Botsurance.
