A review of Janet Ajobiewe’s book, Teju Gets the Key by Tinuola Are. Teju Gets the Key is designed to inculcate knowledge on the importance of virginity to female children.

The book, a seven-chapter book with 59 pages, encompasses different educative topics.

The story introduces readers to a young girl of eight years, Teju, who is from a family of six. However, being the only female among her siblings, she is always lively, until something happens which changes her mood.

Unfortunately, her parents, who she can talk to, are out of the country on business, but she meets Aunty Jane, who changes her story positively.

Teju Gets the Key is  an educational book that informs parent who do not give utmost attention to their children, particularly the female children on the dangers of living one’s children to survive alone.

The book teaches morals to children, while encouraging parents to give enough time to their children so that they won’t fall easy preys in the hands of sexual predators.
