A seasoned journalist and patriarch of the Aragbaye family, Elder Bola Aragbaye, 77, is dead.
According to a statement signed by Mr Felix Olasoji, Elder Aragbaye died on Wednesday, at 2:30 pm, at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
During his lifetime, he worked at the Nigerian Tribune as a professional journalist under the supervision of Alhaji Lateef Jakande, who later became an Executive Governor of Lagos State.
He left Nigerian Tribune in 1967 to join The Sketch Press Limited, where he rose to the position of editor before a former Governor of Ondo State, late Chief Adekunle Ajasin appointed him as his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), in 1981.
The late Elder Aragbaye who marked his 77th birthday on November 10, 2018, will be remembered for his exemplary leadership and philanthropic gestures to all who came his way.

He is survived by his wife, a music icon and National President of Gospel Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (GOMAN), Evangelist Dr Funmi Aragbaye, children, grandchildren and family members.
