THEATER Commander, Operation Lafia Dole, Major General Olusegun Adeniyi, has said that the Boko Haram insurgents will not be allowed to grow stronger under his watch.
Adeniyi, who said this during the visit by the chairman, Senate Committee on Army, Aliyu Ndume, said that the end of the insurgents was near.
“By the grace of God, the end of Boko Haram is near and we are assuring Nigerians that the North-East of the country will soon enjoy that lasting peace it has been known for. To achieve this, all hands should be on deck to ensure that this war is brought to a logical conclusion,” he said.
Adeniyi described the senator, who was represented by Mr Adamu Timta, as one who had been standing firm against the activities of the insurgents.
Meanwhile the military high command of Operation Lafia Dole has warned residents to be wary of the activities of insurgents around Jakana and Maniock especially during the Yuletide period.
