Blue Mool Ltd, a major player in the real estate sector, has signed a contractual agreement with the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) to develop and build an affordable residential homes for resident doctors at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH, Oghara, Delta State.
The residential homes, as gathered, will be built in full compliance with modern estate development standard.
This is to lessen the burden of resident doctors driving for hours to get to work every day and to enhance their productivity in the health care sector.
At a brief but colourful ceremony at the board room of DELSUTH, the Managing Director of Blue Moon Ltd, Engr Fayose Temitope and Executive Director, Mrs. Popo Adeola, signed on behalf of the estate development company.
The immediate past President and secretary general of NARD, Dr. Okhuaihesim Uyi Lawa, Dr. Jerry Isogun, signed for the National Association of Resident Doctors.
The Chief Operating Officer of Blue Moon Ltd, Etsemitan Dennis, who’s an indigene of Oghara, in Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state, signed as a witness to Blue Moon Ltd and NARD.
Former governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, who personally received the delegation of Blue Moon Ltd and NARD during a courtesy visit at at Oghara, lauded the initiative and thanked the organizers for conceiving the lofty idea.
The former governor, however, tasked the initiators to ensure that the project was well executed from conception to finish.
He promised the estate development company and the NARD of his total support during the execution of the estate project.
The Ovie of Oghara Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Noble Etsemitan JP, who spoke when the delegation paid a courtesy call at the palace, said the idea was a welcome development.
He said that the project would bring rapid transformation to Oghara as a whole.
The traditional ruler praised the Chief Medical Director of DELSUTH, Dr Onome Ogueh, NARD and the estate developers for initiating the idea.
He tasked them to ensure that the project was executed and completed, remarking jokingly that he would hold the resident doctors personally accountable if the project failed.
The Ethiope West Local Government Area Chairman, Pastor Oghenedoro Owusu, described Ethiope West Local Government Area as a peaceful place to accommodate such project and development.
While thanking the initiators for the project, he, however, appealed for similar gesture to workers at the local government area.
Earlier in his presentation at Chief Ibori’s compound and the Ovie’s Palace, the Chief Medical Director of Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH, Dr. Onome Ogueh, explained that the project, when completed, will enhance the productivity of the resident doctors as well as transforming the entire Oghara kingdom.
He praised the outgoing President of NARD, Dr. Okhuaihesim Uyi Lawa and his excos for working very hard to ensure that the idea saw the light of the day.
