Blackwall Streetsigns Shanko, drops ‘Tomorrow’

Multi-talented artiste, Rasheed Atanda popularly known as Shanko, is set to take the Nigerian music scene by storm with the release of a new single, Tomorrow.

A mix of hip hop and fuji, the song is produced by Suni Osorun and is being released under his Black Wall Street Africa label. When released this month end, the song is expected to not only set the airwaves ablaze, it will also be a club banger.

As a kid fuji music sensation in the ‘90s, Shanko churned out a number of hit songs that went straight to the top of the charts. He later took time off music and enrolled at Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, where he studied Business Administration.

Shanko’s natural drive and goal- getting mentality has stirred him to keep honing his art to even higher standards. The experience he gathered over the years has now been inculcated into this new song.

According to Shanko, apart from being futuristic, the new song is melodious and prayerful. He said: “Tomorrow is my first official single under the Black Wall Street Africa label. It is melodious and prayerful. The song will definitely make you nod in affirmation that Shanko is here to stay with great music.”
