Bishop Kukah
The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah, has advised Nigerian to believe in the supremacy of the will of Lord.
Bishop Kukah in his Christmas message to Nigerians titled “Another Christmas,” said, “I am sure tomorrow will be good. I am still very convinced that this country, with all its viable, all its weaknesses still has a great future.
“So, I can only appeal to Nigerians to continue to be steadfast. My prayer is that we must struggle to create a country that hopefully will be better after we left it than when we met it.
He described the killings of former Chief of Defense Staff, Alex Badeh, as a great tragedy, and wondered how secure the rest of us are in the country.

Bishop Kukah condemned how a majority of Nigerians are only concerned about themselves and their business alone, not minding what happened to other people.
He prayed for the protection of God over security agencies on the field, and for Nigerian politicians as well, to become more sensitive to the needs and unity of the country.
While admonishing that delving into politics should not be accidental but rather, a vocation, the revered Bishop appealed to politicians to make the forthcoming elections violent free by not encouraging thuggery.
According to him, “we are where we find ourselves because our leaders have not done enough.”
He prayed that 2019, will be a year of joy and laughter for the country, despite the anxiety and uncertainty feelings of Nigerians now, recalling that, the country has always demonstrated its capacity to pull out of uncertainties.
