He stated this at the collation, institution and induction of Julius Olufemi Abegunrin as the Archdeacon of Oluponna Archdeaconry and vicar of St. Peter’s Church, Oluponna, praising Abegunrin for his efforts at being a virtuous cleric.
In his sermon, the new archdeacon highlighted his vision and mission as preaching the gospel and building the foundation of ancient missionaries in pursuing holistic evangelism.
He listed his plans as including ensuring prompt payment of assessments; organising Bible study class for all and retreat/seminars for church workers.
He also expressed his intention to reopen the church’s nursery and primary schools, as well as educate members on how to use their three TS – treasure, time and talent for God, and re-organise the church’s welfare committee.
While craving all members’ support, Abegunrin, who had also served in Tonkere, Orile-Owu, Ikire and Kuta, appreciated his wife, Janet, and family members’ for their support.
