Bimbo Akintola ‘resurfaces’

Published by

Those who have been asking questions about the whereabouts of veteran actress, Bimbo Akintola, have been told to watch out for her in a new dimension.

The actress was the toast of many home video fans some years back but she suddenly went off the screens, giving no one any inkling about what she could be up to. It was reported that Akintola had turned her back against acting and travelled abroad for greener pastures.

But the actress, who has featured prominently in both English and Yoruba speaking movies over the years, has promised to give her fans and other followers of happenings in the movie scene something to start talking about.

She was recently engaged by R at a public gathering where she said she had been doing fine and working on several movie projects that should be hitting the movie screens very soon, adding that those who said she has been missing probably didn’t know how much work she has done.

Akintola, while speaking further about her career and the impression that she has not been living up to expectations, disclosed that there was no need reacting to every misinformation flying around in the media space as many who spread such information have no idea what she has been doing.

With Modern Woman, a movie she starred in, hitting the cinema on Friday, Akintola said the movie, which talks about a young woman’s life torn between career, family and love, spirals into chaos when she faces devastation and loss of her pregnancy.

“In a fight to reclaim her identity, she must navigate a treacherous path towards self-discovery, challenging societal norms and embracing her own truth.

“My response to those who want to know what Bimbo has been up to is that something huge is coming,” she said.
