A  letter of suspension signed by Hussaini Mohammed Enagi, stated that the affected members were suspended following their refusal to answer queries on their publication of false information in a national daily (not the Tribune Online) on 14th November 2019, allegedly with intent to expose the polytechnic’s  management and the Governing Council to public ridicule and hatred.

The letter further explained that the action of the affected members amounted to gross misconduct as it violated the provisions of Article 16.2 of the Polytechnic’s Staff Manual.

It further noted that the ASUP-BD Chairman, Dr. Umar Sarganuwan, was specifically suspended for several other breaches,  including holding congress meetings without permission of the Rector of the Institution, Dr. Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi , including his( Dr. Umar Sarguanuwan’s)  refusal to close up his master’s degree being sponsorship by TETFUND as well as absconding from his primary responsibility of teaching.

The suspension, according to the letter, takes immediate effect pending the determination of the matter by the polytechnic’s governing council.
