Bodija International College, Ibadan(BIC), on Tuesday, held the 18th edition of its annual Inter-House Sports competition where Yellow House emerged the overall winner of the games with 918 point. The Blue House came second with 882 points, the Red house had 772 points to finish third, while the Green House got the fourth position having scored 760 points.
The Vice Principal of the College, Mr Franklyn Dairo, in his remark on the occasion, reiterated the commitment of the college to total education with equal emphasis on academic excellence, moral upbringing and sports education, one of the tools to foster unity and imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship among the students.
According to him, students sporting activities in BIC is not all about winning, but engaging them in physical development, as well as opening up opportunities for our students to discover and develop their talents. This informed the college decision to invite the like of Mutiu Adepoju in the football world to mentor our students.

Mr Dairo commended members of the college Governing Council, for their support towards the development of sports activities in the college.
Speaking in the same vein, the chairman of the events, Chief Adgboyega Akin-deko asserted that sport is a unique activity that is important for school curriculum to imbibe and develop in all students competitive spirit to tackle future unforeseen challenges.
Chief Akin-deko called all the states commissioners for Youth and Sports in the country to invest in the development of careers in sports fields from secondary school level and beyond. He said sporting career can be a lucrative profession for those that are exceptionally talented According to him, the development would go long way to produce the like of Ronaldo, Messi other starts in this country.
