The federal and state governments have been advised to create the enabling environment for betting business to thrive because it  can assist in curbing crime among youths by creating jobs.

The Chief Executive Officer of Redson Bet,  Mr Jeff  Oduma, gave the advice at the launching of the company in Asaba.

According to him, the time has come for the game to be embraced by all government inclusive as it is  capable of generating revenue for government.

Preventing sexual assault is a collective responsibility

He said gone were the days  when the well-to-do in  sneak in and out of betting shops to avoid being noticed, adding that the game is prominently patronized in Europe and America because of the love for football.

Oduma said while other betting companies have their corporate headquarters in Lagos, Redson Bet has taken the bull by the horn by starting from Asaba, the Delta State  and Benin city, among other places.

“For us, we have come to redefine betting business in the country and change the narrative. We should be able to operate like banks  where people feel good to do business. It should be a place  where gamblers will be proud to visit,”he said.

Highlights of the ceremony was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the company and its promoters, Jellof  and Real  Warri Pickin, both artistes.
