Benue police arrests suspect recover firearm

BENUE State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Moses Yamu has said that the command had arrested a suspected armed robber terrorising Logo area of the state.

The suspect identified as Kenneth Kater was said to be operating along Amaafu road in Logo local government area of the state with other suspects around 6 pm of last Friday.

” Logo Police Division received a distress call that some robbers are operating along Amaafu road.

“The patrol team was immediately mobilised to the scene and one Kenneth Kater male was arrested with a pistol. On interrogation, he confessed that he and one Kator now at large have shot their victim on the head in an attempt to dispossess him of his motorcycle before the prompt response by the Police and his arrest.

“Victim has been rushed to the hospital where he is responding to treatment,” Yamu said.

Yamu said that effort is ongoing to arrest his accomplice who is on the run.
