The governor disclosed this while inaugurating state, local government, district and ward security committees set up to enhance peaceful coexistence between farmers and herdsmen in the state.

Ortom said that Gana had been involved  in various crimes in the state, adding that security report had shown that Gana and his gang had been involved in abduction, killing, robbery, cattle rustling, among other crimes, which has pitched herdsmen with farmers in some parts of the state’.

Governor Ortom said Gana was granted amnesty, after which he was given the job of collecting revenue for the state government, but he decided to become a terrorist.

Admonishing the committee members, Ortom  said,  ‘good management of information has become necessary now that herdsmen would be moving about with cattle; charging the committees not to allow the relative peace existing between farmers and herdsmen be breached.
