The actor-cum filmmaker has carved a niche for himself in the industry with a series of productions that have stood the test of time. He said he would continue to bring innovative ideas that would turn the movie industry around.
According to Gafar, movie making must continue to reflect the ills of the society, both present and past.
“I think film and its innovations sometimes have to reflect the society. Movies are a form of communication and these stories are a reflection of the society. This is why professionals should continue tell relatable stories.
“Personally, I am committed to promoting my culture through my works and I have also ensured it reflects in my film production, because it is vital in any movie production, especially in our geographical setting,” he said.
Gafar, whose works include Aipejola and Irawe Igbo, hinted that he is currently puting finishing touches to new work entitled: End Time and Atilayo.
The movies featured notable actors including, Peter Fatomilola, Seyi Edun Regina Chukwu, Sola Kosoko, Adeniyi Johonson, Ayo Mogaji, Suliat Gbolagade, Kayode Olasehinde and Saliu Gbolagade.
