Be proactive, new Bauchi Head of Service tells workers

Civil servants in Bauchi state have been advised to be proactive and vigilant in the discharge of their official duties in order to move the service forward positively.

The advice was given by the newly appointed Acting Head of Civil Service in the state, Alh Ahmad Abubakar Ma’aji when he officially assumed duty on Wednesday.

While speaking after taking over the mantle of leadership from his immediate predecessor, Nasiru Yalwa, Alh Ahmad Abubakar appreciated God Almighty for making it possible for Governor Bala Muhammad to appoint him to that position and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him.

Ahmad Abubakar promised to operate an open-door policy throughout his tenure and enjoined civil servants to strictly adhere to Civil Service rules and regulations for optimal performance.

Speaking earlier, the former Head of Civil Service, Alh Nasiru Mohammad Yalwa commended the Permanent Secretaries for their support throughout his three months period and urged them to extend same to his successor for the development of the state.

In his remarks, Special Adviser to Governor Bala Muhammad on Civil Service Affairs, Mr Abdon Dalla Gin charged Civil Servants to always be punctual at all times to earn their salaries.

He commended Governor Bala Mohammad for the following seniority in the appointment of the new Acting Head of Civil Service in the state.
