The leadership of the National Female Students Association of Nigeria (NFSAN), Kwara State Chapter, has appealed to female students in secondary schools in the state to be of good behaviour and focus on their academics.
The Kwara state chairman of NFSAN, Comr. Buraimoh Abiola Temitope, spoke in a statement while addressing students of Government Girls Day School, Pakata, Ilorin, during an educational outreach in the school.
The outreach in which the members distributed over a thousand learning materials ranging from notebooks to mathematical sets to pens and backpacks took place on Thursday at the Government Girls Day School, Pakata.
The chairperson said the outreach was borne out of the need to assist young girls who were going through some form of learning challenge as a result of a lack of learning materials.
Abiola said, ” Your goal is to excel! We understand that the economic challenges may be having a negative toll on your parents in meeting your immediate needs, but we want you to know you are not alone.
” The leadership of Nfsan, Kwara, is very particular about you; we want to see every girl child in the state thriving!
“Every girl deserves a quality education in order to help facilitate the actualisation of their dreams.
“On her part, the Public Relations Officer, Comr. Abisoye Sidiqat Taiwo, encouraged the girls to keep and stay clean, emphasising the need to observe personal hygiene, while Comr. Abdulrofiu Khadijat Welfare Director seconded her by saying the need for personal hygiene is essential as this helps to prevent unnecessary sickness.”
“The Vice Principal of the school appreciated the leadership of Nfsan Kwara for doing such a thoughtful project and applauded the kind gesture and showered rains of prayers upon the executives. Similarly, the students thanked the executives, and the head girl gave an appreciation speech in response to the outreach.
“Other members of the association present were Comr. Oladimeji Ruth Nfsan Kwara, Director of Administration and Planning, Comr. Olawumi Basirat, NFSAN Kwara, Director of Primary and Secondary School Students; Comr. Onikoko Baliqees, NFSAN Kwara, Director of Anti-Social Vices; and Comr.
