Governor Seyi Makinde
The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Oyo State-owned tertiary institutions has tasked the visitation panel set up by Governor Seyi Makinde to probe activities of the institutions on due diligence, impartiality and truthfulness.
JAC Chairman, Mr Adeniyi Babatunde made this call while speaking with Tribune Online, on Tuesday.
Makinde had on Monday inaugurated two separate visitation panels, one to Ibarapa Polytechnic Eruwa and the another to The Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki.
Babatunde said the call for fairness came against the backdrop of fears of some members of staff that the panel was out to witch hunt.

While commending the intent behind the setting up of the panel, Babatunde emphasised its charge for the investigation to be non-biased and fair.
“We have discussed and commend the government for the initiative. We ask the Chairman and members of the committee to be truthful. So much is expected from them so they should not be biased and stand by the truth.
“We have our reservations on whether the people appointed will be fair, just and are able to do justice to the matter as expected,” Babatunde said.
