Bcbet.ng Spreads Hope: Two-Day CSR Initiative Supports Orphanages in Lagos

In a continued effort to uplift and support vulnerable children, Bcbet.ng, operated by Blockdance  Africa Limited, successfully executed a two-day Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative on February  7th and 8th, 2025. The initiative focused on addressing poverty and hunger by providing essential food supplies and relief materials to three  orphanages across Lagos—Little Saints Orphanage, Tower of Refuge Orphanage, and Love Home Orphanage.

A Journey of Giving: Visits to Lagos Orphanages
Over the course of two days, the Bcbet.ng team set  out on a heartfelt mission—bringing relief, hope, and smiles to the children of three  orphanages in Lagos.  Each stop was met with warmth,  gratitude, and moving moments that underscored the impact of collective kindness.

First Stop: Tower of Refuge Orphanage, Surulere

Stepping into Tower of Refuge Orphanage, the team was greeted by the warm embrace of Mrs. Mercy Arinze, the proprietress. As she  welcomed the group, she  shared the orphanage’s history and mission, emphasizing the struggles and triumphs of providing a safe home  for the children.  Her gratitude was profound as she  led a prayer, offering blessings for the Bcbet.ng team and their continued efforts. The visit ended with shared smiles and group photos, capturing a moment of true community spirit.

A Stop Amidst Change: Love Home Orphanage, Magodo

At Love Home Orphanage, the team encountered a unique  situation—ongoing reconstruction work made it impossible to meet with the management staff. However, the caregivers stepped in, warmly receiving  the donations on behalf  of the home. Despite the challenges, the team engaged with some of the children, exchanging words of encouragement and moments of joy. Before leaving, the orphanage staff presented a letter of appreciation, a heartfelt token of gratitude for the generosity extended.

Final Stop: Little Saints Orphanage, Ogudu

The last stop of the journey brought the team to Little Saints Orphanage, where they were welcomed by Ms. Dominica, the administrator. Her first response was one of prayer and appreciation, setting the tone for an emotionally touching visit. In a quiet moment of reflection, she  invited the team to watch  a documentary chronicling the orphanage’s journey since 1994—a powerful  narrative that showcased its first child and the many lives it has  shaped since. It was a reminder of the long-term impact of social responsibility, reinforcing the importance of continuous support and engagement.

A Commitment Beyond One-Time Giving

While the donations provided  immediate relief, Bcbet.ng understands that true impact is long-term. This CSR initiative aligns  with the company’s dedication to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly  in poverty reduction, hunger alleviation, and

child welfare.  Moving forward, the company aims  to deepen its engagement, working with orphanages, NGOs, and community leaders to support education, skill development, and empowerment programs for underserved children.

A Message from Bcbet.ng

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Akinlua, Spokesperson for Bcbet.ng, said:

At Bcbet.ng, we believe that success is measured not just in business growth, but in the impact we create in our communities. This CSR initiative is not just about donations—it’s about building connections, sharing moments of kindness, and making a real difference in the lives of these children. Seeing their smiles and hearing their stories  reaffirms our commitment to giving back.
