After three months of suspense, drama, intrigue and controversy, this year’s television reality show, Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala, the in-house pilot, emerged as the winner of 25 million naira cash, an SUV and other prizes with a combined worth of N45 million.
Reacting to the overwhelming support received on his way to winning the star prize and even after the show, Miracle had, on the social media, expressed surprise at the level of support garnered while the show lasted.
“You can’t imagine how I’ve been overwhelmed with love both on and offline. I’m so sorry I couldn’t get to give each and everyone of you a big hug. That’s all I wanted to do. My time in the house was spent, not knowing how much I was loved out here,” the reigning BBNaija winner posted on Instagram.
As part of the countdown to the grandfinale and the eventual announcement, former Big Brother Naija housemate, Bisola, had hosted a live viewing in Lagos, Nigeria, with the coverage of the show switching between the venues.
With Nina, Alex and Tobi evicted in that order, it was obvious that the only obstacle in the show for the in-house pilot, was Cynthia Nwadiora, Cee-C, who had planned to use the prize money ‘to start a campaign to make the Ministry of Education incorporate self-development into the educational system’.
But the opposition was to later give way after a very tense moment on stage, when the venue erupted as Miracle Igbokwe was unveiled as the winner of Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala, with the Regional Director of M-Net West Africa, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu presenting him with a cheque of N 25 million.
