Also speaking at the ceremony, the Camp Commandant of the training exercise encouraged the newly trained personnel to be good representatives of the state in their various local governments while reiterating that the training will enhance their entry into any of the security arms of the Nigerian military or paramilitary.
The training exercise which was handled by the Bauchi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) focused on counterterrorism and intelligence gathering to combat security threats.
On this backdrop, the Camp Commandant maintained that the state will continue to enjoy peace and stability.
Some of the trainees commended the state government for the gesture which they believe will reduce to the barest minimum unemployment and restiveness among the youths particularly now that politics is setting in.
The trainees are to be deployed to their local government councils for assignment by the councils particularly to various communities to assist in security measures and intelligence gathering for the government.
