Bauchi LG elections: PDP directs aspirants to resign appointments before primaries

All interested members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State interested in contesting the primary elections for the forthcoming LGAs elections have been directed to immediately resign from their various appointments.
The directive was made by the State Chairman of the PDP, Hamza Koshe Akuyam while fielding questions from Journalists shortly after a State Executive Council (SEC) meeting of the Party held Sunday evening.
Hamza Koshe Akuyam called on the concerned people to resign on or before Friday the 19th of July, 2024.
The PDP Chairman said that the PDP is very ready to support all of the candidates who will emerge at the end of the primary elections stressing however that anyone will be affordable.
On his part, PDP Public Relations Officer, Alh Yayanuwa Zainabari , said that the PDP has pegged the sum N200,000 as expression of interest form for the Male candidates, while the sum of
N20000O while N100,00 for the Female Candidates.
For Councillorship, the sum N100,000 has been pegged for Male Candidates while Female candidates are to pay the sum of N50,000 as expression of interest forms.
