Bauchi lawmaker distributes 2,565 bags of fertilizer to constituents

Member of the House of Representatives representing Darazo /Ganjuwa Federal Constituency of Bauchi, Mansur Manu Soro has flagged off the distribution of 2,565 bags of 50kg free fertilizer and 300 spraying machines to dry season farmers in the Constituency.

He did the flag off of the distribution of the items at the Bulak irrigation farming field in Gabarin, Darazo LGA.

“I visited Bula irrigation farming fields in Gabarin, Darazo LGA together with the Permanent Secretary, Bauchi State Ministry of Agriculture and LG party chairman where I  flagged off the distribution exercise.

“I used the opportunity to fully interact with the farmers in order to identify challenges they are facing and inspected some of their products ready for evacuation to markets.

“As a response to part of their challenges, I have today provided 8 brand new pumping machines valued at about N1 million to address the major difficulty they faced in drawing water using crude method of calabash and rope.”

“Since the inception of our representation in 2019, my office has continued to facilitate to rainy season farmers, an average of 2,000 bags of free fertilizer annually.

“For the first time, yesterday, we had taken deliberate steps to empower dry season farmers with free inputs.”

He called on the beneficiaries to make judicious utilization of the inputs to increase food output “in the constituency and Bauchi at large.

The Federal Lawmaker assured that, “We shall remain irrevocably committed to sustaining our multi-sectoral interventions in agriculture, education and health sectors of the economy for the betterment of our constituents in Darazo/Ganjuwa,” he added.
