All is now set for the conduct of the rescheduled presidential and National Assembly elections in Bauchi state as every sensitive materials (ballot papers, results declaration sheets and others) have been delivered to me 20 local government areas INEC offices across the state from where they would further be distributed by the Electoral Officers to the 212 Registration Areas in the state which is made up of 4074 polling units to the 5,425 Voting Points.
This was confirmed by the Head of Department, Voter Education and Public Enlightenment, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Bauchi State, Ahmed Waziri, an interview with Journalists in his office late Friday evening.

Ahmed Waziri who gave the assurance that there will be no hitches in the conduct of the elections in the state said that as at the time of the interaction all the ad-hoc staff have been mobilized to their respective areas of operations.
He then disclosed that forty-four Senatorial candidates from different political parties are jostling for the three Senatorial seats in Bauchi State in the giving the breakdown as, 18 candidates from Bauchi South, 15 from Bauchi Central and 11 from Bauchi North.
According to him, a total of 140 candidates are jostling for the 12 seats of the House of Representatives naming the 12 Federal Constituencies in the state to be Alkaleri/Kirfi, Bauchi, Dass/Tafawa-Balewa/Bogoro, Darazo/Ganjuwa, Gamawa, Jama’are/Itas Gadau, Katagum, Misau/Dambam, Shira/Giade, Ningi/Warji, Toro and Zaki.
He also said that the state has one Presidential candidate in the person of Moses Shipi from Bogoro Local Government Area who is running on the platform of the All Blending Party (ABP).
