An 8 man committee to investigate the allegations of mismanagement and misappropriation of public funds and materials at the Bauchi State Fertilizer Blending Company has been set up and inaugurated by the State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Samaila Adamu Burga while inaugurating the Committee explained that the setting up became necessary in order to ascertain what actually transpired in the company following a series of institutions.
According to the Commissioner, the committee has two weeks to submit its report saying that the terms of reference of the committee includes: to investigate all activities of Bauchi Fertilizer company from 2017 to date, establish the authenticity or otherwise of the allegations labelled against the General Manager and some other personnel who are involved in the improper sales of fertilizer and movement of materials out of the company’s premises and illegal transactions with other organizations.

It is also to inspect records of transactions of the company from the reference date and also take stock record/balance and financial transactions accordingly, Give recommendations on the better way to reinvigorate the company to resume production and report any other relevant issue that might arise in the cause of the investigation.
Samaila Burga also said that the selection of the committee members was done based on merit considering their records of achievements in the service congratulating them for the well-deserved appointments with a call that the task is onerous but they are equal to the challenges.
The committee is under the chairmanship of Iliyasu Aliyu Gital, with Haruna Girma Dass, Ayuba Timon Ishaya, Aliyu Ibrahim Dankade and Engr. Muhd Saidu as members.
Others are Bulus Madaki, DPO Dutsen Tanshi Division Bauchi, Representative of Nigeria Civil Defense Corps, Representative of Auditor General Bauchi State while Yakubu Aliyu Dahuwa as Secretary.
