Bauchi govt synergies to combat crimes as Gov Bala hands over recovered arms to Police

Bauchi State Government has declared that the PDP led administration in the state is already working in active synergy with the renowned hunter in the state, Ali Kwara as part of efforts aimed at bringing to an end criminal activities including, kidnapping, robbery and all other forms in the state in order to make it crime-free.

State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed made the declaration on Wednesday at the Government House while handing over the arms and other weapons recovered from bandits in Lame- Burra forest by the renowned Hunter in the country, Alhaji Ali Kwara.

The governor attributed the development to the partnership between the state government, security agencies and the renowned Hunter and welcome the initiative of the Inspector General of Police of deepening community engagement on security, describing it as a tool for ensuring peace and security in the society.

The governor who thanked Ali Kwara for facilitating the recovery of the arms pledged to provide the needed support to security agencies working in the state for effective discharge of their assigned responsibilities.

While receiving the arms and ammunition, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Philip Mako, said that the Police with the support of critical stakeholders will ensure the maintenance of peace and order in the state.

The Commissioner of Police also used the medium to appeal to the entire citizens of the state to key into the police community engagement on security to enable police to rid the country out of criminal activities.

Speaking earlier, the renowned local Hunter in the country who is based in Katagum LGA of Bauchi State, Alhaji Ali Kwara, said that the items were recovered from bandits who were planning to go on criminal activities in various places across the state.

Ali Kwara disclosed that he was able to burst the gang following intelligent information given to him by some informant within the area assuring that he will continue to ensure that criminals wherever they are were finished out and handed over to the security agencies for further investigation and possible prosecution.
