Bauchi govt promotes 53 senior civil service officers, others

 

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has approved the confirmation of 15 Senior Officers in their various positions in the State Civil service for effective and efficient service delivery.

The Governor also approved the promotion of 38 other Officers while one Officer had his transfer formalized in accordance with civil service rules and procedural regulations.

The decisions were taken on Tuesday during the 5th plenary seesion of the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC) held at the Conference Room of the Commission which considered 83 cases of promotions, conversions and transfer of service.

Others considered were two conversions while 27 Deputy Directors were interviewed and recommended for appointment as Directors in the State Civil Service.

All the activities during the plenary session were as a result of recommendations submitted by the State office of the Head of Civil Service to the Commission in line with the Civil Service rules and regulations.

In his remarks during the session, the Chairman of the Commission Alh. Abubakar Usman, who presided over the meeting, appreciated the orderly way and manner the Candidates conducted themselves during the interaction.

He reiterated the Commission’s determination and commitment to make the State Civil Service vibrant and dedicated for effective service delivery.

Alh. Abubakar Usman stated that the Commission initiated interviews for Deputy Directors and above to prepare them for the big task ahead of them for their progress and development of the State not to witch hunt anybody.

During the meeting, the Members of the Commission were led by the Permanent Commissioner II, Dr. Dauda Abdullahi Sardaunan Ari while the Permanent Secretary Barr. Dawud Yakubu Mahmood led the Secretarial Staff as contained in a statement by Saleh Umar, I.O. BSCSC.
