Bauchi gov’s youths inclusion in governance fuels presidential hope — Commissioner

…urges Nigerian Youths to rally round Bala Mohammed

Bauchi State Commissioner for Natural Resources Development, Hon. Muhammad Maiwada Bello, says the State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has set a national precedent by appointing more youths to key positions in government than any other governor in Nigeria.

According to him, this bold move underscores his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive governance, positioning Bauchi State as a trailblazer in involving young people in leadership and decision-making.

The commissioner made this remark during an interactive session with journalists.

He emphasised that Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration has surpassed both his predecessors in the state and other governors across the country in integrating young people into government.

According to him, “The Governor is committed to building a government that reflects the energy and innovation of the youth. No other administration in the country has given young people as many opportunities to serve in high-level positions as Governor Bala Mohammed’s.”

He stressed that the Governor’s youth-focused policy is evident across the State Executive Council, local governments, and advisory roles, with youths occupying critical positions and driving key policy implementations.

Bello noted that these appointments and support are part of the governor’s broader vision to create a government that prioritises fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.

“Governor Bala Mohammed’s administration is a testament to his belief that young people are not just the future but are essential to shaping the present. He has created a platform for them to actively contribute to the development of the state,” Maiwada Bello added.

As the 2027 general election approaches, the Commissioner called on youths across the nation to support the call for Governor Mohammed to aspire for the next president in the 2027 general election, arguing that his track record demonstrates a clear commitment to empowering young people.

“For years, youths have clamoured for leaders who prioritize their interests and create opportunities for them to thrive. Governor Bala Muhammad has proven himself as such a leader. It is now time for the youth to rally behind him and ensure he takes this vision to the national level,” Bello urged.

Muhammad  Bello added that with Governor Mohammed as president, Nigeria would see a government that fully harnesses the potential of its youth population, fostering innovation, inclusion, and development across the country.
