Bauchi Governor Mohammed pledges conducive atmosphere for security agencies

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has pledged to provide a conducive environment for security agencies working in the state in order to be able to perform their constitutional functions of safeguarding lives and property of the citizens.

The Governor gave the assurance at the Air Force Special Operations Command’s Regimental Dinner Night held at Officers Mess, Nigeria Airforce Base, in Bauchi on Friday night.

Bala Mohammed who was represented at the dinner by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Muhammad Sabi’u Baba, said that the move is to enable them to discharge their responsibilities effectively especially in protecting the lives and property of the citizens of the state.

He applauded the transformation agenda of the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar towards ensuring professionalism in the service in line with international best practices.

The governor also expressed satisfaction with the performance and commitment of the personnel of the Air Force in the ongoing operation against criminal and insurgency activities in the country.

Bala Mohammed, therefore, acknowledged the services provided by the Nigerian Air Force in the areas of health and education in the state and called for its sustenance.

In his speech, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar assured that the Air Force will continue to participate effectively and actively in the fight against criminals and insurgency in the country.

The Chief of Air Staff commended both the Federal and State Governments for supporting in the effort to rid the country of crime and criminals declaring that in carrying out its mandate the Force will always be guided by professionalism.

The Chief of Air Staff alongside other Heads of Security Agencies in the state participated during the regimental dinner night.
