Few weeks after sacking some traditional title holders for improper turbaning, Bauchi Emirate Council has again reversed the turbaning of 55 newly turbaned traditional title holders.

The removed traditional title holders were turbaned by some Hamlet Heads in Miri District Area, without following due procedure.

According to a press statement by the Chief Information Officer of the Emirate Council, Babangida Hassan Jahun, the affected Hamlet Heads are those of Lushi Takololo, Yayire, Baram Gada ta kasa, Wuntin Dada and Sabon Birshi Gandu all in Bauchi LGA.

Babangida Hassan Jahun stated that the decision was taken by the Council during its meeting held at the Council Secretariat within the Emir’s Palace in Bauchi.

According to him, the Council also warned the Village Head of Birshi Alh. Muhammadu Lawal Ahmad and the District Head of Miri, Mal. Hussaini Abubakar Othman (Danjikan Bauchi) to ensure full compliance of the turbaning procedure in order to avoid sanction.
