In its determination to improve and boost agriculture and capital development of the state, Bauchi state government is to partner with the Bangladeshi government and other investors from that country.
This was discussed by the State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed after a closed-door meeting with the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Mohammed Shameem Ahsan in Abuja.
Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed said that both countries (Nigeria and Bangladesh) have agreed to collaborate in the areas of Agriculture, improving food security and nutrition as well as alleviating poverty through the strengthening of the agro-food value chains.

He said that Bauchi state is blessed with vast land for agriculture disclosing that his administration will provide all the needed requirements to boost farming activities.
Bala Muhammed also disclosed that he had presented his agricultural policy document to the Commission’s delegation in order to key into the administration blueprint aimed at improving agricultural productivity and yields, creation of a food processing facility and promotion of access to markets within and outside the country.
Speaking earlier, the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Mohammed Shameem Ahsan while briefing government house correspondents said that the aim of the visit of the delegation was to deepen partnership and explore the natural endowment of the state into visibility.
The Envoy assured that the delegation will soon visit Bauchi state in order to see the abundant natural resources the state is blessed with.
