Bauchi APC stakeholders urged to support Tinubu

Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State have been urged to continue supporting the policies and programs of the APC-led Federal Government to enable President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to deliver on the mandate Nigerians gave the party and him.

The call was made by the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the 2023 general elections, Ambassador Sadique Baba Abubakar, during his visit to APC supporters at the party secretariat on Monday.

The visit aimed to thank the supporters for their assistance during the 2023 governorship and the recently concluded rerun elections in the state.

The retired Chief of Air Staff turned politician stated that APC is a party that has come to stay in the state, emphasizing that despite not winning the 2023 gubernatorial election, it has continued to grow stronger in the state.

According to him, “I want to commend you for the tremendous support we received from youths and women during the electioneering campaign. This overwhelming support shows your patriotism and commitment to the party.”

He added, “Despite not winning the election, it does not mean we failed. We always succeed in everything we do, and I assure you that come 2027, the party will bounce back again. I want you to remain committed and loyal to the party no matter the challenge. I assure you that we will smile again at the end of the day.”

Sadique Abubakar, however, lamented the state of negligence of youths and women, warning that things must change positively to secure the future of unborn generations.

He condemned the travails of Bauchi Islamic Cleric, Idris Abdulaziz, who is declared wanted by the Police, stating that the Cleric is a man of peace who always stood for the truth.

In response, Bauchi State APC Chairman, Muhammed Hassan Tilde, said that Ambassador Sadique Abubakar remains part and parcel of the APC, emphasizing that he has become a great pillar and asset to the party, which is an added advantage.

Hassan Tilde appreciated him for his support to the party and its candidates during the recent rerun elections in four state assembly constituencies.

The APC Chairman said, “Ambassador Sadique is a great asset to this great party. He supports the party in any way he can, in the area of giving counsel where necessary and even offering his resources. All these we cannot take for granted but say to him that we are thankful.”
