Bauchi APC stakeholders task FG on citizens’ hardship

Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the weekend called on the Federal Government to take more pragmatic efforts aimed at alleviating the current hardship among the citizens.

They made the call at a critical stakeholders’ meeting held as provided in Article 12.9 of the APC Constitution 2022 (as amended).

The communiqué of the meeting convened by the Bauchi APC state executive committee was signed by chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Muhammad A. Hassan.

While restating their support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, the stakeholders also called on the Federal Government to resuscitate the Bauchi-Gombe Oil because of the overall benefit to the country as a whole.

“We call on the Federal Government to do something to alleviate the sufferings of the people,” they stated.

The stakeholders also expressed their support to the two ministers from the state in the federal cabinet towards justifying the confidence of Nigerians generally.

They agreed to sustain peace and unity in Bauchi APC in the interest of the people of the state, particularly the party members and that the stakeholders’ meeting would be held on a quarterly basis henceforth and cautioned against indiscipline among party members.

The stakeholders also promised to ensure justice, equity and fairness to all at future congresses, primaries and general elections stressing that, “We shall stand firm in support of all APC candidates in all future elections.”

Part of the communiqué read: “We recommend that all palliatives allocation meant for Bauchi State be channeled through our elected/appointed members from Bauchi State.”
