Baraje charges FG, states on people-oriented programmes

Published by

A leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje (CON) has urged both the federal and state governments to hasten the implementation of well-thought out programmes that could put food on the table of the common man.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, Alhaji Baraje said that what an average Nigerian was yearning for was stomach infrastructure where food would be placed on the table of every individual.

Apparently lamenting the current economic hardship in the land, he said: “A hungry man is an angry man.”

He however, called on all the levels of government and the citizenry to shun foreign goods and look inwards by going into massive farming, so as to avoid famine in the country.

The APC stalwart equally appealed to Nigerians to be patient and cooperate with the authorities as they strove to make life better for the citizenry .

Baraje assured the people that the APC-led administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, would restore the lost glory and battered economy of the country before the end of 2019.

He also called on all Nigerians, particularly the leaders of the two major religions: Islam and Christianity, to support the administration with prayers towards moving the country forward.
