Bandits attack Kaduna/Abuja highway, kidnap travellers

Twenty four hours after the Abuja-Kaduna train attack, bandits have attacked the Kaduna /Abuja highway where they kidnapped travellers.

It was gathered that the attack occurred after twenty-four hours when a train on Kaduna /Abuja highway was attacked by bandits.

It was learnt that some motorists plying the road, on Tuesday morning, were blocked by the bandits and taken to an unknown destination.

A resident of the area said the bandits who were wielding dangerous weapons asked the travellers to come out of their vehicles.

“We saw them when they are taking dozens of travellers inside the forest. But we were helpless as we were not armed. We don’t even have the power to confront them,” he said.

At the time of filing the report, the Police and the state government are yet to react to the incident.
