Bananas on empty stomach

Is it safe to eat bananas on an empty stomach

 Gilbert (by SMS)

Absolutely nothing bad will happen, really, the myth about banana on empty stomach being dangerous is just that, myth. There is no problem with sugar and fiber intake on an empty stomach, no magnesium-calcium ratio problems, no excessive acidity, which would make you ill.

What will happen, in fact, is that you will receive a quick burst of natural sugars (glucose, fructose, sucrose), which your body will easily absorb because of the absence of any other food in the digestive tract, thus receiving energy faster than if you were eating bananas after a heavy meal.

Potassium from the banana will also provide a quick boost to muscles and nerves functioning, while the fiber will start your digestion process, not overloading your system.
