Baba Sala’s demise, end of an era in Nigerian entertainment industry ― Osun Speaker

AS reactions trailed the demise of the ace comedian and thespian, Late Apostle Moses Olaiya Adejumo, popularly known as Baba Sala, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Najeem Salaam, on Monday described his death as the end of an era in the entertainment industry.
This was contained in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Goke Butika, which was forwarded to Tribune Online in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

According to the statement, “the death of Apostle Moses Olaiya popularly known as Baba Sala marked the end of an era in the entertainment industry. He was an enigma who redefined comedy and brought many people to work in the entertainment industry. The way and manner Baba Sala unleashed his talents from the 60s was so maverick that Nigerians in thousands will continue to remember him for bringing them therapeutic laughter and lessons of life.”
While expressing his gratitude to the late Apostle Olaiya for putting Nigeria, Osun in particular in a good map through his indelible exploit as a Comedian of international standing. We owe Baba Sala a debt of gratitude,  for he unleashed his talent to make people happy and learn through his comedy and his comedy exploit brought our country, particularly, our state to a good map in the entertainment universe.
Dr Salaam further expressed condolences of the state parliament to the immediate family of the deceased, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran over the demise of Baba Sala, describing the deceased as a good man who brought glad tiding to the world.
