Oyetola
A former governorship aspirant in Osun State, Dr Taofeek Olayinka Ayinde, has congratulated Governor Gboyega Oyetola on his first anniversary as governor of Osun State.
Ayinde in a chat with newsmen on Wednesday, described the first year of the governor as a “productive, progressive and achievements-laden year,” urging the governor not to lose sight of his targeted goals.
According to the Iwo-born politician, “the twelve months have witnessed consolidations and continuity of the giant strides of the immediate past governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola in every sphere of human endeavours.
“While I call on the governor not to derail, I want to implore him to look into the potentials of Osun State in areas of the economy.
“Osun has a lot to contribute to the economy of Nigeria considering the human and capital resources at our disposal. I believe the resolutions of the recent Osun Economic Summit will be implemented to turn around the fortunes of our state,” he added.
Ayinde, who is the National Coordinator of Nigerians for Buhari Again, also urged the governor to continue his mutual relationship with the civil servants in the state, which have been earned through prioritization of their welfare packages, adding that labour is a pillar of development of every state.
“As you move on, I want you to continue the good relationship you’re having with All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and supporters in the state. With this, I see a brighter future ahead.”
