The Vice-President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria Pastor (Dr) Emmanuel Segun Awojide has urged clerics to safeguard the true and original apostolic doctrine found in the scripture.
Declaring open a three-day ministers’ Improvement seminar with the theme: Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth, in Lagos, the cleric pointed out that this was part of their responsibilities.
He said: “Although many may stray from the truth and false teachers may make inroads into the church, God’s purpose for His faithful followers cannot be thwarted”.

Pastor Awojide, who is the Chairman of the TACN’s Lagos Western and Northern Areas (LAWNA) Territory, added that the ministers of the gospel, were also expected to commit the true doctrine to others without compromise or corruption.
He told the participants at the seminar which attracted over 6,000 pastors, and held simultaneously in 10 zones to be mindful of their calling as “an unashamed workman a clean vessel and a gentle servant.”
“As ministers, we should always remember that those who really belong to God turn away from iniquity and false teaching,” he said.
Awojide called on the men of God to be mindful of the incidence of collapse building recently recorded in the country and take precaution “in our genuine attempts to construct buildings for our Assemblies, Mission Houses, Schools event centres and so on.
“We should at all times adhere strictly to laid-down building construction standards and requirements.
“We should not join the blood-sucking individuals and corporate bodies who relish in cutting corners,” he warned.
