Award of chieftaincy titles, a call to service —Baale of Isajinland

The Baale of Isajinland in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Chief John Kayode Bamiduro, has said that chieftaincy title awards, especially in his domain, are in recognition of past services and a call for more endearing commitment by the awardees to the greater development of their immediate environments.

Chief Bamiduro said this during his first coronation anniversary held recently at his palace where notable individuals were honoured with chieftaincy titles, including Chief (Mrs) Adefunmike Apeke Adelodun who bagged the Bobaselu of Isajinland.

Others are Professor Saliu Adetunji Oguntola as Otun Baale of Isajinland; Chief Safiu Olawoyin as Otun Baale; Chief Hezekiah Olalekan Ogunyinka as Osi Baale; Chief Mrs Kehinde Solademi, Iyalode of Isajinland; Temitope Michael Omoosumi as Olori Odo of Isajinland, among others.

Also in attendance were the representatives of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.

Chief Bamiduro urged the awardees to join hands and fashion out the urgent need to address the immediate felt-needs of the community.

He told the people that the Ibadan circular road which is just few kilometres to Isejinland is bound to enhance and attract development in the area, just as he advised the awardees to think of how they can leverage on that to accelerate the development of Isajinland.

Speaking on behalf of other awardees, Chief Mrs Adelodun said that all of them appreciate the gesture of the Baale and promised to promote the development of Isajinland.
