Founder of Automecho Global Service, Dr. Ogunleye Oluwaduyilemi was honoured as a United Nations Ambassador for Peace recently, commending his dedication to peace and sustainable development which is transforming his immediate community and impacting the global society by extension.
Alongside 31 other business professionals from diverse sectors across Nigeria, Oluwaduyilemi was decorated by His Excellency, Amb. Prof. Barika Saro-Laka – the Secretary-General of the Association of United Nations Ambassadors for Peace (ASUNAP), who handed the certificate and plaque to commemorate the appointment.
The award ceremony took place at the Executive Leadership Summit organised by ASUNAP in conjunction with the Artificial Intelligence Management & Finance (AIMFIN) Institute at Lagos Airport Hotel in Ikeja, the capital city of Lagos, Nigeria.
Oluwaduyilemi, in accepting the appointment, expressed his deep gratitude and viewed the role as a call to responsibility in support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and UNESCO’s global agenda for peace.
In his words, “I am excited to have been considered for this role by a global organisation. It encourages my work and character as an individual and a businessman. This platform will definitely allow me to further amplify the advocacy for world peace, especially in my capacity as the owner of one of the biggest automobile services providers in Nigeria,” said Oluwaduyilemi.

In the words of the United Nations bigwig: “As ambassadors of peace, we must have love for humanity. We will not do anything that will hurt or terminate the life of our fellow beings. We must cultivate the spirit of cultural friendship. We must not pay attention to tribes and cultures when it is time to give people what they deserve. In that way, we will have a better global society and enjoy peace.
“We need peace every moment and every minute of the day, and we must explore cultural diversity as a source of strength and the unity of our nations. Those of you getting the award and honour today, you are becoming a champion and citizen of the global society. You must now begin to see others in a different light, in a better light, and act accordingly in your new status.”
At the event, Oluwaduyilemi was also inducted as a Doctoral Fellow of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Management & Finance Institute, in recognition of his exceptional leadership, innovation, and significant contributions to advancing Artificial Intelligence to drive success in business, finance, and management, and demonstrating a commitment to ethics and sustainable AI-driven solutions for global impact.
The event drew notable dignitaries from across the region, including the President and Dean of Omniversity, Prof. Tokunbo Akeredolu-Ale; the Executive Director, AIMFIN Institute, Dr. Praise Akogwu; Keynote speaker, Dr. Samson Akinyosoye, who spoke elaborately on Artificial Intelligence and how the trending technology can be useful for professionals; and other top business personalities in attendance.
