The Acting National Coordinator/CEO of AUDA-NEPAD, Barrister Baba Saidu, has pledged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda aimed at ending poverty, ensuring food security, fostering economic growth, and enhancing human capital.

Barrister Saidu gave this assurance in Abuja while declaring open a one-day capacity-building programme for senior staff on Levels 13–15, reiterating his commitment to the human capacity development of the agency’s manpower.

He said: “As you are all aware, the essence of this training is to ensure effective delivery of AUDA-NEPAD mandates.

“The yearly training of AUDA-NEPAD is in line with its mandate and method of improving staff performance by promoting service excellence in line with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Renewed Hope agenda, such as ending poverty, food security, economic growth, and human capital.

“It is our belief that without knowledge and training, we won’t be able to deliver our mandates effectively.

“If funds or money are provided without knowledge, it cannot be well managed, and if working materials or tools are provided without knowledge, they cannot be well handled. Similarly, if a conducive working environment is not created, performance will suffer; hence, the essence of this special intensive training programme.

“Since AUDA-NEPAD is determined to ensure the success and progress of this regime, I urge all the participants to pay adequate attention to enable us to deliver our mandates effectively. To our facilitators, I appeal to you to be skilful and proficient throughout the session,” he urged.

Some of the paper presentations by the resource person, Mr Adekunle Oni, focused on Public Service Rules (Revised Edition) and retirement perspectives and planning.
