Attention, NFF

Published by

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) needs to put its house in order  as Nigeria prepares to tackle the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the coming weeks. The Lions are the current African champions and will want to ensure that they are not disgraced by Nigeria.

The clash between the four-time African champions and the Eagles promises to be an epic one, and bookmakers are expecting no less. It will be suicidal for any Nigerian to expect an easy ride over the very young, agile, focused and determined Indomitable Lions who shocked bookmakers by lifting the AFCON trophy for a record fourth time in Gabon.

So far, the Eagles under Coach Gernet Rohr have been phenomenal, topping their World Cup qualifying group. But the story can quickly turn sour when we face Cameroon.

Over the years, the NFF has failed to pay members of the national teams their allowances and bonuses in time, leading to altercations and embarrassment for the nation. If the Eagles are not paid their dues in time, they will not be properly motivated to give their best against the very resilient Cameroonian side.

NFF must ensure that this does not happen when the Eagles face Cameroon.
