Atiku’s son attacks Ogundamisi, Buhari’s media handler, over leaked photo

Mustapha Abu Bakr, one of the sons of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has attacked a member of the Directorate of Media and Strategic Communication of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Team, Mr Kayode Ogundamisi on Twitter, over a leaked photo of Atiku.

Atiku appeared in the private photo to have shown affection to a woman whom Ogundamisi posted via his Twitter handle @ogundamisi with the caption: “If it was President Muhammadu Buhari now, they (opposition) would have titled it, ‘Buhari caught on camera flirting with Adamawa PDP women leader. But we won’t do that to you people! We know Atiku was just saying hello! ElectionIsNotWar.”

Responding to the post, a livid, Abu Bakr via his handle @HHMustaphaAA claimed that the woman in the said photo which had generated thousands of retweets on Ogundamisi’s handle is his mother and a wife of Atiku.

Abu Bakr’s tweet reads: “The man in the picture (Atiku) happens to be my father and the beautiful lady he is showing affection towards is my mother.

“This attitude is disgusting. Your animosity towards him is understood as a public official, but she is not. Please respect her as a woman and both of them as a couple.”

Checks by Tribune Online show that the woman in the photo, going by Abu Bakr’s comments, is Princess Rukaiyatu, daughter of the late Lamido of Adamawa, Aliyu Musdafa.
