Atiku support group faults Buhari’s travel ban, mobilises 10 million votes for Atiku

Published by

AS political activities for the 2019 general elections hot up across the country following emergence of candidates, a political pressure group known 6 the ‘Grassroots Network 4 Atiku’ (GN4A) has declared that it has embarked on moves to mobilise adequate support in the region of 10 million voters for the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar towards victory in 2019.

National Coordinator of GNA 2019, Barrister Isa Mohammed explained that the Network is moving round the country to achieve the aims and objectives of Atiku presidency just it described the travel restrictions placed on 50 Nigerians by the APC led President Muhammadu Buhari federal government as “fascism, illegal, lack of respect to the rule of law and violation of the affected persons fundamental human right as enshrined in the 1999 constitution”.

Isa Mohammed made the explanations when he addressed a Press Conference in Bauchi on Monday, saying that the statement issued by the Presidency on the full implementation of the “obnoxious Executive Order 6”, which included dead people on the list immediately after the Federal High Court judgement clearly shows that the President and his government lacks respect to the rule of law and he is eager to cripple his political opponents through fascism which is a direct clamp down on citizens’ rights as guaranteed by the Constitution of the country.

He said for two years the Presidency refused to obey court orders that ordered for the release of Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd), Sheikh Ibrahim Elzakzaky but quickly acted on this one which clearly shows government move to impose tyranny on Nigerians by hook or crook.

Isa said, “we are in a democracy and Nigerians have rights to elect leaders of their choices not by force but by their goodwill, government move is a sign that Nigerians want to change Buhari with Atiku Abubakar of the PDP. Since after the emergence of Atiku as PDP Presidential flag bearer, Buhari government and accomplices are in panic, they know they didn’t do well to the electorates, Nigerians are starved, Nigerians are tired of the starvation, people are living in abject poverty, they don’t have access to education,, basic health care and government does not provide the required essential social services and infrastructures to the people under Buhari. For that no amount of intimidation will stop Nigerians from changing the APC government”

He also accused Buhari led APC administration of deceiving Nigerians with the fight against corrupt practices where only his perceived political opponents are being questioned and arrested by the EFFC while people with corrupt allegations if they are in the APC will not be questioned or arrested.

The Coordinator also said that the group are mobilising support for Atiku from the people that have Permanent voters card (PVCs) pointing out that already they have contacted over three million Nigerians who have permanent voters card at the grassroots and they all pledged their votes for Atiku and pledged to reach out to other distinguished Nigerians with PVCs and predicted that Atiku will win the presidential election in 2019.
