Atiku not a threat to Buhari’s re-election bid ― Buhari Youth Campaign Organisation

THE President Muhammadu Buhari Youth Campaign Organisation in Ogun State has declared that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar is not a threat to Buhari’s re-election bid.

The group said Atiku will lose to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Buhari during the February 16 elections because Atiku has no place in the hearts of the Ogun State people.

The Coordinator of the state Youth Campaign Organisation, Olusegun Clement stated this yesterday at the formal inauguration of members of the organisation at the APC state secretariat in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Clement noted that the scarce sightings of Atiku’s posters in major towns across the state are a sure indication that the people have rejected him and his presidential bid.

“For us in Ogun State what we are doing is sensitisation and mild interaction with our people because no other Presidential candidate is winning here, it is President Muhammadu Buhari all the way. Atiku has no place here in Ogun. Atiku is zero here in Ogun State.

“Come to Ogun State, you will barely count his (Atiku’s) posters in the state. We would not take our people for granted because we love them and they love us as well.

“What we are doing today, is a means to further interface with our people in a more organised way and that is because our leader and father, President Buhari holds Ogun people in high esteem.

“This event marks the beginning of our activities in Ogun State and we would continue until 48 hours to the presidential election. We would visit every nooks and cranny of Ogun State to deliver the message of Mr President to them because Mr President has sent us to Ogun people and we will deliver that message accordingly.”

Clement further urged youths in the state to eschew all forms of violence during the elections noting that the deceivers will soon approach them to be used for violence during the polls.

He said: “Buhari remains the only and best option who will deliver the dividends of democracy to us and with him, our future is secured. Please ensure you vote for President Muhammadu Buhari.”
