Atiku in Delta, promises completion of Second Niger bridge

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on Thursday promised to complete the second Niger bridge linking Delta and Anambra States, if elected in the coming presidential poll.

Alhaji Atiku who was in Asaba, Delta State in continuation of his nationwide presidential campaign, also promised to reactivate the abandoned Warri Port as well as all the abandoned Federal Government projects in the  State.

He declared that since the all Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government had failed to deliver in all its promises there was no justification for Nigerians to renew his soon to be expired mandate

According to him, “These people they call APC just come to deceive us. Everything they promised they failed to deliver

“They failed to deliver on economy, they failed to deliver on security, they failed to deliver on jobs, why would you vote for them for Godsake?

“I appeal to you to continue to vote PDP. We are all PDP family, there is no space for APC in this state, never, all the infrastructure you are enjoying today in terms good road network, hospital facilities, education, water supply and what have you were put in place by the PDP administration”

Also speaking at the rally, the  National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus accused President Muhammadu Buhari of breaching the constitution, noting that he suspended the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) without following due process.

Secondus called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to rig the general elections because of its grievous consequences.

According to him, “We know that government is pressurising INEC to rig this election but if they rig this election, they are looking for war

“So if they want peace, let them not rig the election because everybody is ready for this election.

“We also want to advice our security agencies and we know that they are good people, protecting lives and properties, which is their primary responsibilities

“We believe that they will obey our constitution and not break it like Mr President that is breaking our constitution

“They will obey the constitution and be neutral. But if they don’t, if they join hands with INEC to rig this election, what are they looking for?” he asked”.

In his own remarks, the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Senator Bukola Saraki said the people should vote out APC because the party has failed them woeful in all ramifications

Senator Saraki told the crowd that Alhaji  Atiku would deliver in the economy, job creation and security‎ and other sectors haven served as the Vice President for good eights as well being an employer of note spanning several years.
