Atela is out with Jankara visuals

Francis Atela, popularly known as Atela, recently released his new single entitled, “Jankara”.

The native of Benue State, who began singing at the age of 14 in his church choir, where he developed his talents in music and songwriting, has collaborated with top acts in the Nigerian music industry such as; Fome Peters, Dj Coublon, T-spize and Clarence Peters who directed Jankara; a feel-good music video depicting a celebration of love, laughter and life.

The visually pleasing production takes us back to the 70’s with a colourful retro-themed vibe and a country feel, the sounds along with the video sweeps you off your feet and is sure to put a smile on your face.

He displays his trademark vocal prowess on this song, but this time surprising his fans by diversifying into a completely different sound. This afro-pop song, produced by Fome Peters has paved the way for other artistes to tap into this genre.

The songwriter and vocalist, who is the first official artist signed to Squeeze records is still basking in the euphoria from the release of his critically acclaimed cover to Adele’s “When we were young” last month.
