At PBN breakfast, Gala/Award night, experts advocate global networking and collaboration for entrepreneurs

As the world continues to embrace digital exportation of products and services, the convener and founder of the Premia Business Network (PBN) Bola Lawal has emphasised the importance of supporting entrepreneurs in Nigeria to export their products and services globally.

PBN, a thriving subscription-based community, boasts over 700 members spanning 26 countries, covering diverse sectors such as agriculture, finance, education, technology, manufacturing, oil and gas, real estate, health, and creative industries.

Speaking at the annual breakfast session anchored by Ms. Zumah Yahaya, which featured a keynote speaker on the future of work and panels on affordable housing and farm to fork; opportunities in the Agriculture value chain, Mr Lawal said it was important to create an enabling environment for entrepreneurs to network, export, and foster comprehensive economic growth.

He also called for support for young entrepreneurs, emphasizing the potential to generate foreign exchange for Africa and attract investment from the diaspora at the gala and award night.

Describing PBN as a central hub for connecting and fostering leadership collaboration, Lawal explained, “We’ve brought people together to transact and build relationships because we believe strong connections lead to better business outcomes.”

Highlighting the annual three-day gala weekend, Lawal detailed the sector-specific sessions aimed at commemorating the network’s achievements throughout the year. He revealed plans for the Premier Club, a member-only space for social and business activities, set to launch in the third quarter of 2024.

Lawal also unveiled the upcoming PBN Outsource initiative, slated to launch in the first quarter of 2024. The initiative aims to aggregate service providers within the community and facilitate business development in the US and UK.

Speaking on plans for 2024, “We have big plans including a plan for Premier Club. Premier Club will be a social, business, member-only club that is from our community. So a lot of the things that we do, the virtual meetings, virtual hangouts that we do, we want to have our place where it’s only for our members, where we have activities, dinners.

“So that’s one of the things we’re launching. We plan to start putting that together for next year. Hopefully, by the third quarter of next year, we’ll have it ready to be launched. We’re also going to be talking about PBN Outsource. We have a lot of providers, software development companies, PR, and digital marketing.

According to him, in the first quarter of 2024, it will launch Premier Club for social, business, and member-only for our community to come alive and it will aggregate all of the service providers within the community we already worked with, adding that the platform will be able to do business development in the US and UK.

At the gala and award night where Ms. Yahaya, bagged the Most Fashionable Premian Woman, at Twin Waters, Oniru, Lagos, keynote speaker Mr Idy Enang focused on building an Africa that Africans can be proud of. Addressing the theme “Out of Africa,” Enang underscored the significance of exporting the best of Africa’s essence to the world and leaving a lasting impact.

As the Premia Business Network continues to champion global entrepreneurship and collaboration, its initiatives signal a promising future for African entrepreneurs and their potential to make a meaningful impact on the global stage.
