Everything Women

At four, TOCI empowers 50 women

As part of its efforts to put women on a pedestal where they can foster a strong network to effect changes in their lives and be assets anywhere they find themselves while being emotionally and financially independent, the Tope Olagbegi Circle of Influence (TOCI), as part of its fourth year anniversary, held a series of scheduled business workshop for women empowerment.

The workshops had 10 classes on various vocational training on making spices, baking, business writing, content creation and digital marketing, among others.

TOCI is a community of women, who have God at the centre of their lives and operate as a safe no-judgment zone for women of every tribe and race. The group, with over 300 members, in line with its vision to make an impact in every sphere of human existence, has embarked on the training of women on every aspect of their lives to be independent and good ambassadors of their family and community.

TOCI has a mission to begin within its circle and members through spiritual insight and self-discipline, foster a strong network to effect changes in their lives, families, sectors, nations and ultimately, globally with core values bordering on excellence, Bible-centred, mutual respect, discipline, teamwork and love.

The group functions based on the belief that contrary to the belief instilled in women by society that has conditioned them to think that synergistic relationships with other women is impossible, there is strength in women coming together for a positive purpose irrespective of what a few negative examples have made people believe about women.

At TOCI, members are taught to recognise that when women unite, they can achieve unprecedented results and attain God’s intention for them without limitation. And all activities are tied to the mandate of the convener, Temitope Olagbegi, which is to restore confidence in the unity of women, as well as to inspire and empower each other.

The vision was birthed from an acknowledgment of the breakthroughs, growth, and acceleration she has enjoyed, through the support of the amazing women used by God to help her and TOCI which started as an intimate group on February 8, 2020 and has blossomed into a community of over 300 women across the globe.

And in four years, its impact on hundreds of women cannot be glossed over as many women have attested to the effect on their lives and families, and this can be proved from the testimonies of many.

According to Seyifunmi Odubonojo, popularly called Rich Aunty of Lagos, “My best friends now were people I met on TOCI. They hold my hand through every phase. They pray with me and for me. They add value. They love me with all my flaws. And what’s most humbling is how they always show up for me and talk to God when I’m not up to it.”

Adejumoke Udechukwu said: “TOCI has contributed significantly to my spiritual growth and this is evident in other areas of my life. In other words, I am a better version of who I was three years ago. Daily I hear my sister’s voice. Since the foundation of the community is God, I am secure.”

Smith Olabisi said: “TOCI has been an amazing place for me. I bless God daily for instructing me to join TOCI. I have no regrets! I have grown in my walk with God, spiritual life, and other areas of my life. I will recommend TOCI to anyone who wants to grow in their walk with God, spiritual life, marriage and other areas of their lives, and have an inner circle of sisters that can hold your hands.”

For Minabhin Benita Koteteh, “I was just passing through life before joining TOCI. I joined and gradually things started making sense. Becoming active this year (2023) has stretched me, and my mindset has changed on a lot of things. The real and practical lessons are changing my life. I have a lot to say but words fail me. God has shown me love through TOCI, or should I say, TOCI is one way God showed me He loves me, he truly cares for me and hears me.”

At four years, TOCI has impacted many lives and is raising the banner for women making exploits.
